About the Book

A Civil War story like no other! A story inspired by a Union officer’s notes depicting a dead woman disguised as a Confederate soldier deployed on the field at Pickett’s Charge.

Meet Adell, a strong, educated, blonde-haired, blue-eyed southern beauty, daughter of a wealthy plantation owner. Driven by love of family, she leaves the security of her station to fight for what she loves most.

Learn what it would take to turn a Union woman into a Confederate soldier.

About the Author

Savannah was born in 1964 in Ohio and attended various public schools in Ohio and Michigan. She graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in English while achieving double minors in history and business.

Her first inspirations to write surfaced early in the form of poems and short stories. Enchanted by history and encouraged in part by a shared interest with her parents, her continuing research revealed great moments of unheralded history and fueled her desire to write about events never before developed in a historical novel form.

She now resides in a southern Michigan town rich in history.
