About the Book

            From the first day of fly fishing for the mighty Steelhead, Clay has had an incredible amount of success since the summer of 1986.  He was first introduced to fly fishing in 1977 while living in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.  He has developed his own unique fly patterns along with methods and style that has produced amazing results.  In this book, Clay is sharing his secrets to success for landing an amazing amount of trophy sized Steelhead for the world to see.  The intention of this book is to share through experience so that others may enjoy the thrill of successful fly fishing for the majestic Steelhead.

About the Author

            The author just completed a 22 year honorable career with the United States Coast Guard.  During his career, Clay became very experienced in writing operational and technical plans.  He also developed a style that could be easily understood by all along with the ability to share experiences through written words.  Clay has recently been published with feature articles in Salmon, Trout, Steelheader magazine along with a small piece in Fish and Fly magazine.

            Clay is now sharing his passion for fly fishing, his skill in photography, and his joy of sharing, in this informative fun book.
