You can throw me around the bases, pitch me with a curve.
Use me as a fast ball, or play with me, whether you’re short or tall.
You can bloop me for a single, bunt me for a sacrifice, or even foul me off with a little slice.
I’m so tough, you can hit me for a grand-slam or drive me down the line.
Don’t worry about me,
I’m always doing fine.
I’m with a little red.
I’m a little small, but you can hit me over the wall.
After all, I’m just a Baseball.
Kick me
or boot me,
hard or with finesse.
When I play in the mud, I become a mess.
I like to roll around,
and on the grass is where I will be found.
I’m a special ball
you can bump me with your head.
But use your foot, I prefer instead.
You can dribble me on the field or pass me to a teammate. You can kick me into the net and score a goal.
I’m big, black and white with lots of squares. After all, I’m a Soccer Ball.

He can bounce high or roll low, he is always fast never too slow. The child tries to guess what kind of ball is talking after the poem is read. It''s lots of fun to read for ages 4and up. It''s a joy to read for every girl and boy.
About the Author
Cari Garfield is a second time author and professional Tennis Coach. After Cari retired from the professional tennis tour she chose to spend her time making children of all ages happy. Cari has been teaching tennis to children in Newport Beach California for more than twenty years now.Whether it''s putting a racket in a 5 year olds hand for the very first time or reading her first book "Cari''s Characters" to hundreds of kids each year her greatest joy is to see a child smile.Cari was a college graduate with a degree in english and a bachelor degree in tele-communications. She was also an NCAA two time All-American and conference and State Champion in tennis.Cari''s very passionateabout sports,writing poetry,and making everyone around her smile,thus became the book After All I''m Just A Ball. Cari is hoping it will bring asmile and a bit of laughter into childrens hearts for now and ever after.
