The Beginning of Trail Blazer Man
One day, June 20, 1992 to be exact, Clark Kent Striker was in his laboratory working on a new medicine when suddenly there was an accident. There was an explosion and Striker inhaled vapors from his X-10 formula. He fell on the floor and lay there for thirty minutes. No other person was in the lab, and when Striker came to, he felt strange. As he looked over the damage, his body began to change in size. His arms and legs got bigger and his muscles were a lot bigger than normal. His shirt and pants were torn so much, his muscles were sticking out.
Now Striker, standing by a mirror, saw a different man. The X-10 had made him stronger. Another thing had happened?that cut he had on his hand began to heal. He not only was stronger, but his healing power was faster.
He tried other experiments with his body, like firing a gun at himself.
The bullet hit Striker in the chest, and it felt like a small bite, but there was no hole or blood. So now he had proof that his X-10 protected him from any bodily harm.
Striker desired to build himself a secret room so no one would discover his find. With all of this power, he thought he should have a special name.
Trail Blazer Man would be this new person, and he would offer his services to mankind, doing good deeds fighting crime. He even installed a police computer so he could read about all the problems where he could give people his aid.
Striker wanted to know how fast he could run. Mark Hanson, who was Striker’s best friend, held a stop watch and clocked him while he ran around the indoor track he had specially constructed. The speed that Mark clocked was unbelievable. Striker wasn’t tired from that fast run. The only thing he couldn’t do was fly.
A uniform would have to be made. The colors would be blue tights and red shirt, red boots and blue mask, similar to what Captain America wore, except that he didn’t need a shield. He would also have a car operated off jet engines equipped with lasers that would warn him of other vehicles in front of his car when there was poor visibility in fog, snow, or in rain.
After all that excitement, Striker had all his friends come to his beautiful mansion to have dinner. His girl friend, Deborah Henly, had golden hair and blue eyes. Everyone was well dressed. Striker’s brothers, Henry, John, James and sister Rosemary arrived on the 4:00 p.m. plane at the San Francisco airport. Striker’s driver picked them up.
Striker’s mansion could sleep ten people and there were small cottages for more guests around the large swimming pool. There were a total of 5,000 acres on his property and a garden maze just like you see at English castles. The gardens, with all colored flowers and hedges, were well kept. Striker had inherited the property from his father, who died in 1991. his brothers and sister got their share of property, each getting big houses and land in Los Angeles.
While Striker was eating, the phone rang. It was a long distance call from South America. His friend José Cortez said he had located more of those rare plants in the Amazon that the X-10 was made of. Now Striker had to stop what he was doing and fly to Brazil where José would meet him at the airport. Striker told his family that he had to go right away. They gave him big hugs.
Striker had a long flight to South America. José was waiting in the terminal as Striker went through Customs. A truck with all of the supplies that he ordered was there too.
Only three men beside Striker were on this trip to go into the jungle. A small boat would carry everyone deep into no-man’s territory. Headhunters lived there and were known to kill anyone coming in their land. The plant Striker wanted grew pink flowers by a water fall.
