A deep kiss came from the stranger as he took me into his arms. Pale moonlight behind his head as he took me by the lips. Fear found me and pounded my heart with lust for this complete stranger. Lust, which would take me on a journey I thought wasn’t even possible. I looked at the stranger as he kissed me and realized his eyes were open as well. I saw things that I could not explain. I saw fear, hope, and love all in the same pair of eyes that were looking back at me. And of all things to do, I fainted as he kissed me incredibly.
The last evidence of the stranger before I so helplessly fainted was his voice telling me to keep calm, that everything would make sense in time. I didn’t hear his voice audibly, but rather as though he was inside my head. That is when I really became afraid. Afraid for my life and afraid of my death.
I faded slowly in his arms, as I felt him lift my body and carry me. A deep slumber took over my mind as I was being taken to some destination without my consent, with dreams as vivid as life itself.
I saw a woman dressed in white, a man in anger, and a boy confused. Other flashing images followed of an old house with a winding staircase, and vast rooms decorated elegantly. The house I saw was enormous in size housing a small family. I saw large studios that could hold a small symphony, and libraries that held more information than allowed by our simple minds. Who was it that lived here, and why were these images important? What did these images mean? These were questions I knew would be answered in time, that is, if my fear wouldn’t get the best of me. I was at the same time curious and afraid.
What I am about to tell you is absolutely true. Whether you believe me or not, is completely up to you. I have had a remarkable experience and only wish to share it with you just in case a similar experience happens to you someday, which is very well possible.
So sit back, relax, and get ready for a tale unlike any other you have heard. And most important, listen to your mind, it will explain this tale better than I ever could. For the mind holds the key to the story. Without your mind’s ears, this story will never make sense. I invite you to the Life of Death, because Death truly does have life, and walks with and lives through us everyday.

About the Author
Nicholas A. McGirr lives in Struthers, Ohio with his wife Holly and two daughters Serena and London. He has studied music for most of his life and plays most percussion instruments. Coming from a small line of musicians, Nicholas has studied Rock, Jazz, Blues, and Classical. Having no college education, Nicholas has had to rely on his own personal resources and interests for his studies. He has studied at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and many libraries throughout Ohio and will continue to write while furthering his studies in music
