He seemed to hesitate, but then went on,
“In the ceremony, I am going to call on the fire deity; the fire deity to bring up a cleansing, consuming fire to purify the earth.”
He stooped to pick up a small pot beside his cushion, and then continued.
“I am going to put the fire deity into this little pot, then make the fire in the fire pit with the energy from the fire deity.”
He stood up and stated with resolve and motioning his hands over the fire pit,
“I am going to take the Earth and plunge it into the fire provided by the fire deity to purify all the Earth and the elements of the Earth!
Then, nearly at a shout he announced,
“I will immerse the Earth in the flames to purify it.”
My heart began to pound…the pit of my stomach told me it was time to run out of there!
Another priest began walking around the room, passing out roses and grapes to each person seated on the ground around the four priests in the center. When I was handed a rose, I took it and the grapes. My hands were shaking. He went on,
“You will take the rose you are being given and the grapes and put them onto the platter at the proper time to be thrown into the fire to represent the purification of the elements of the earth.”
Beside him he had his little fire pot containing a fire to which he intended to call in the fire deity, and then use it to prepare his fire in the pit. My mind was racing……
Think, Susan! Think! What’s happening? I scolded myself. Time was at the crucible, right now! I considered what was actually happening at this moment:

About the Author
Susan Isabelle is a visionary and a pioneer in the work of global transformation. A social worker for disabled children for over twenty years, her life changed with a spirtual journey to sacred Mount Shasta in 1999. There she met the fabled and legendary people of the sacred mountain called, The Lemurians. She was taken into the mystical mountain's higher dimensions to speak with them. She agreed to go to 36 sites around the globe with them "On Assignment" on that day, to assist humanity. Little did she know, that would change her life and the destiny of an entire planet!
