About the Book

I decided to write this book to share many memories, including funny stories, true short stories (oddities) and funny quotes, to help improve the image of boxing, one of the oldest of all known sports. Also the one sport that probably needs the improvement the most.

To the best of my knowledge, all the stories contained herein are true. You would need the world’s greatest imagination to make up many of them.

About the Author

This is the third book by Rusty Rubin, who's been involved in boxing for 50+ years.  His previous books "Off the Canvas," and "Billy Soose, the Champion Time Forgot," (with Tom Donaldson) have received great reviews.

Rubin has been awared the IBF Boxing Writer of the Year, 1993 and has been inducted into the the NW Boxing Hall of Fame and the Bay Area Boxing Hall of Fame.
