About the Book

Lyric Kaylon Johnson is a good kid at heart, but when his father is killed in an act of random violence, his life suddenly takes a turn for the worse. In a state of anger and confusion, he reaches out for anyone to look up to. Unfortunately, he’s searching in all the wrong places and ends up latching on to the wrong crowd and unknowingly and unwittingly, becomes involved in a life of crime. All the best efforts of his mother and social workers cannot change the course that his life is taking until it’s too late. He loses everything that he had thought was so important to him; his car, his job, his girl, his money and his so-called friends. But what he finds brings him peace and new meaning to his life. It takes the love of one very special woman to help him realize his true potential.

About the Author

KEVIN A. GLASS is a native Californian, having been born and raised in the Los Angeles area, where he still currently resides. He knows first-hand what it''s like to grow up surrounded by all the distractions and temptations of a fast-paced city. But he also knows what it''s like to overcome adversity and has learned that there''s more to life than just getting by. He recognizes that the choices that we make will write our destiny and that everything that looks good is not always what''s good for us.

He is currently striving towards his Bachelor''s Degree and has a driving passion for writing. This is his first novel, but certainly not his last. He is already working passionately on his next book.
