Always my bride and twin of my heart,

the flame burning for you there

Could never waver or depart;

Fear of dust and shadow is a lie,

For you are beautiful still,

My lovely little Gemini.

Time does fly,

But for us it is in circles,

And then stands still

Whenever we are face to face,

Our kisses consuming all sense

Of seperate space

To eclipse all of Time’s little tricks;

Losing ourselves in the timeless

Colors of our eyes,

Your’s each like a crystal ball

That I use to scrye,

And in them conjure images

Of all our memories,

Turning them into galleries

Of painting to admire while I stare.

So, frame  your face with antique hair

And turn time back to when we wed,

Where around your head

I planted baby’s breath there.

Every night you present

Another veil to thrust aside

My bride and twin of my heart,

Uncovering another mystery that you hide

And to prove to you I constantly aspire

To witness the day

You obtain your heart’s every desire.

making love—eyelids

shut tight, the soul can behold

its beloved’s soul

autumn’s peak—the leaves

giving back colors taken

from the summer sun

a half hour later

her scent

still on my whiskers
