About the Author

Susan is an Online Educator, Coach, Consultant, Author & Speaker.Susan understands first hand the value and opportunity online education offers educators and individual learners. The ability to access online education enabled Susan to fast track her educational experience as well as to experience multiple roles in her career path.

Due to her experience as an online/distance education student, Susan pursued her interest in online learning and teaching. She went on to obtain a master’s degree and has been teaching and developing online courses for various colleges and universities across the country for over 10 years. In recognition of her commitment to education and student success, Susan was awarded the 2008 Faculty of the Year Award in the Distance Education Program for Nursing at Saint Joseph’s College in Maine and was a finalist for the State of Connecticut’s Nurse Educator of the Year 2008. She is highly regarded in her field as the Chairperson of the Distance Learning Committee and is a member of the Academic Council for Charter Oak State College in CT. Susan also is a reviewer for online course proposals to ensure validity and reliability.
Susan has been a guest on radio talk shows over the last two years sharing her expertise and “tips for success” in online education. She has given workshops for students regarding online education and has received excellent reviews and recommendations.
