Marilyn Monroe.
My spiritual progress took a huge boost when I joined a spiritual
meditation learning circle led by a lady called Jeanette Hodgson,
her wealth of experience filtered through to us over time, she is one
of just two people to lead a circle that I have been involved with
who could actually see our meditations herself, the sign of a natural
spiritually gifted teacher.
Before the start of each circle we would normally have a chat
about things that popped up in conversation. One particular week we
were talking about healing and then children came into the subject,
how they can be a joy to work on. And then the subject of doing
healing for terminal children came up, and Jeanette told us all a story
of how she used to go and do healing for a little boy on a children’s
cancer ward.
Jeanette was sat with the little boy in the children’s cancer ward,
she had finished doing the healing for that session and they were
just talking. The little boy said, “Jeanette do you see that little boy
over there” “yes” said Jeanette “he’s very poorly and his mummy
and daddy are unhappy,” “oh dear that’s sad” said Jeanette,“ I don’t
think he will go home from here with his mummy and daddy, and do
you see that little girl over there Jeanette,” “yes I can see her” said
Jeanette, “I don’t think she will go home from here either, and do
you know what Jeanette, I think that I will not be going home from
here either”
It was an emotional story and those last few words just brought
the lump into my throat in an instant, I nearly started crying the
reaction was so fast, but the story brought home the reality of terminal
conditions in children that I would eventually face if I continued being
a healer.
We started the evenings meditation and I was still a little bothered
as I saw nothing positive about the situation of terminal children that
I could get a grip of in anyway at all.
As I relaxed into the meditation I asked my spirit guides/god
“what was I going to do when I was confronted with a terminally ill
child situation similar to the story Jeanette had just told us?”
Instantly the spirit of Marilyn Monroe appeared in my meditation
for just a few seconds, and I was given a full explanation crammed
into a split second.
As you read this or if I was telling you the story to your face, as
soon as I said the words Marilyn Monroe you will have got a picture
of Marilyn in your mind, I will almost guarantee that it was one that
shows her at her best. Youthful, beautiful, and smiling or laughing,
Marilyn Monroe never reached the stage in her life where we all saw
her other than radiating beauty.
When you think of a child that has died you will always remember
them at their best, they will never grow old in your memories, the
same as Marilyn Monroe, twenty or thirty even forty years and the
memories will still be the beautiful ones of the child.
It will not bring a child back, as nobody can come back as they
were, but for me it somehow eased the emotions that story brought
to the surface.
Another experience through knowing Jeanette.
I was invited by Jeanette to go and help her do healing on a lady
in Christie’s cancer hospital in Manchester, she had an extremely
aggressive form of cancer in the lymph glands and her doctors
realistically did not offer her the prospect of living beyond a few
months after treatment.
The first time I went Jeanette and I sat at either side of the bed
and held her hand giving her healing as she listened and relaxed
with some music that I had put together. The ward had about 24
women in it and for most of the time we were there one lady who
was sat on her bed was just shouting “I want a nurse! and I need a
nurse!” on and on not thinking about where she was or caring
for others.
As I was doing healing for the lady we were there to see, I was in
my own mind quite critical of the lady constantly shouting, and then
all of a sudden my spirit guides/god were with me and they explained
that the lady who was selfishly demanding a nurse was ’Afraid.’
And as I continued with the healing they explained that many of
the women in the ward were scared, and they were dealing or failing
to deal with it in their own individual way! Some successful and some
not so successful, as this lady shouting showed!
I then realised who am I to criticise that lady for being the way
she was, and who she was, because I do not know what made her
that way and I do not know how I would cope if I found myself facing
possible death by cancer.
I also learnt another extremely important lesson on that first
visit. As we left the ward passing through it I felt fine, and then as I
stepped immediately under the last door frame that took me out of
the ward into the main hospital corridor my head exploded in pain!
I had been protected by my spirit guides/god from all the negative
energy’s and fear in the ward and now I had left it they released
what they had protected me from to show me its incapacitating and
destructive power. I should have spiritually protected myself before
going in, after this experience I made sure I did so after that visit. (it
makes you think about the people who work in these area’s of fear
and pain constantly and how they are being protected, and how they
must/should maintain a barrier against the negative energy’s in their
own individual way’s for their own well being.)
As I have said previously in the book “An experience of something
is worth more than 10,000 words on the subject” and this lesson
revolving around the negativity that fear can create was worth the
temporary pain!
I only went two more times and the lady with cancer went home
as her course of treatment had finished, I heard from Jeanette that
she lived for 18 more months and in that time she married the man
she had lived with for 14 years in the Seychelles, and that the cancer
returned and took her.
She unburdened herself of a worry she had while we visited her
that said volumes about life and how it can be!
She had worked in accounts in a small firm for years and was an
essential part of the company, and her boss was constantly putting
pressure on her by asking her how long she would be off work, and
she had actually the week before her treatment had for a few days
gone back to work to clear a backlog that had built up during her
illness/cancer.
She was worried she might lose her job or that the absence’s
through the illness/cancer may cause her future problems at work
and this was extremely stressful for her, she told us that her bosses
had actually been a bit distant and not as friendly as normal for even
those few days she had gone back to help them out with the backlog
situation.
It is all so similar to the story in the book where I relate how my
spirit guides/god told me about all the lives ruined by managers
and bosses being ruthless and discarding workers below them
emotionally damaged by 9/11 in the financial business’s of New
York!
