Jonah’s Trial
Jonah ran from the Lord one day to willingly go his own way. The Lord wanted him to go to preach in Nineveh for their wickedness was great. But Jonah went to Tar shish and went unto Joppa to hide on a ship away from the Lord. The Lord sent a great wind that day and the waves of the sea rolled a rage. The mariners were frightened and found Jonah and cast lots upon him and found that the lot fell upon Jonah. Jonah was cast from the ship and wasn’t brought upon dry land, for a great fish swallowed him at God’s command. Jonah was in the fishes belly three days and three nights and he cried unto the Lord and trembled with fright. He was spat on dry land and obeyed God’s command for he had learned not to run, when god had something to do he wanted it done.
Oh to Touch Him
The hem of His garment I pray.
There was a woman with an issue of blood
for 12 years there was no hope in sight,
for the doctors would say “ no cure found today” but the
woman would not give up the fight. Her frail life was quickly
passing away. “ No hope” He did say. Do you believe in miracles?
Do miracles still happen today? With faith she hung her head to pray.
“ I know if I could just touch Him today,” reaching out in faith, her spirit cries unto Jesus that day.
CHORUS
“ Oh! To touch Him the hem of His garment I pray”
To touch Him, be made whole today, the sick and broken-hearted
come unto Him this day, your troubles He will scatter away
In the town, the quaint little town there were people gathered round
The woman passes that way, and she heard the people say, “ Jesus is
coming this way. He doth heal us today.
CHORUS
“ Oh! To touch Him the hem of His garment I pray”
To touch Him, be made whole today, the sick and broken-hearted
come unto Him this day, your troubles He will scatter away
The woman she did press through, unto a life made brand new
she touched the hem of His garment, a miracle happened that day
She was healed and made complete in His love that day.

Divine Inspirations Open Heart Poetry II is the second book by author Tina M. Ray.
This book offers a collection of poems, songs, dedications. There is a new addition it is the Soldiers of The Cross in which there are dedications in memory of soldiers who have gone on to be with The Lord, the poem dedicated to their family members to cherish their loved ones. This book celebrates love and faith and hope in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Also mentioned is a poem by author’s niece dedicated to her grandfather, “pop pop’s rain.” This is not just a book you read once, it speaks to your heart and your spirits about the love of Christ, His plan for mankind, the treasures of our hearts etc. The cross of salvation is Jesus drawing all men unto himself. Jesus dying for the sins of the whole world, taking our punishment on himself to be the ransom for our sins. How wonderful that Jesus came to seek and save that which was lost. I pray as you read the words God has inspired upon my heart, that you examine your own hearts and ask forgiveness, pick up your cross and follow Him, for He has the keys to life and death and ask yourself “ where will I spend eternity?” I pray you will be in that great number with The Lord, “ The Lion of Judea.” God bless you all.
