STALKER
It lies with me at night to sleep
It wakes with me in the morning to eat
It views my thoughts before I can
It’s visible to me but it’s not human
It forces me to relive my past
It reminds me that any moment can be my last
It’s the worst enemy of any kind
It’s my very own Mind
SHADOW ASSAULT
You crept into my world and changed my life
I never saw your face but I felt the knife
You stripped me of dignity and tore open my soul
You killed my spirit and emptied a heart that was whole
You forced my free will in your twisted game
You left me on my back lying in shame
But I gathered the strength to rise to my feet
I refused to lie down and allow you defeat

About the Book
The inspiration behind my book of poetry comes from life and it's ups and downs. I believe in the honest expression of feelings that life creates and I believe this book of poetry reflects a lot of those emotions. While life in itself can at times be good, it can also sometimes be a struggle just to maintain. Poetry, for me, is about every aspect of life and I would like to share some of the experiences of mine with the world and hopefully for every reader out there, there is atleast one poem within that will ease a burden and give a reason for happiness.
About the Author
Kathleen was born in Bartow, Florida to the late John Lincoln Taylor of Edwards, Mississippi and Anester (Ann) Hall of Winterhaven, Florida. Kathleen's parents moved to Vicksburg, Mississippi with her six older siblings in 1973 when she was two months old. Kathleen is the seventh of ten siblings, two brothers and seven sisters. Kathleen and her siblings were raised in Vicksburg where she met and married her soul mate and best friend, Anthony C Bennett Sr. They have two teenage sons, Sheann and Anthony and a daughter Taylor.
