About the Author
Justice For Lorinda was written by a passionate woman.
LinMarie Garsee has proved she can do anything she sets her mind to and whatever she chooses to focus on is smeared with an energetic passion and lots of hard work that brings results.
Having paid her dues as a legitimate member of the battered woman’s club, molested as a child by an uncle, and facing other obstacles of childhood and young adulthood, she looked around, took stock and pulled herself up by the bootstraps to become a successful private investigator and entrepreneur. Above everything else, she is a survivor of the highest order and grieves openly when others do not make it.
Choosing Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me,” as her favorite Bible verse, she quotes, “Life is an adventure, live it to its fullest and in the most vivid of colors, “ as her life motto.
Garsee says she wrote Justice For Lorinda to expose the awful cycle that a batterer produces, to expose a batterer and to help bring closure to Lorinda’s family and friends. Reading the actual account of what happened to this one young woman will alert readers as to how manipulative a batterer can be and how tragic and useless murder is. It also gives insight into our justice system.
Garsee’s third book, For the Sake of My Children, will be published next year, in another true crime book where she shows how a battered man goes over the edge of no return. Garsee also plans to write a quilt book, which will include true stories of the trials and investigations she has been involved in when designing the quilt patterns that will be included in the book, Quilting in Trials.
