About the Author

Cindy Seng has enjoyed a lifetime with horses and is an author of award winning stories. She is also an artist working in oils and bronzes, nearly of of which have an equine theme. She lives with her husband Bill on a Illinois farm where they board and train horses. They spend their free time riding trails near and far, and particularly enjoy their getaway in Marquette, Michigan where they have a cabin and barn for their horses. Cindy began her horse career with a patient gelding, and soon after bought Texas bred Lady T Jet, a fast quarter mare who led her to many wins for barrel racing at local shows as well as competition in the rodeo arena. In her younger years, she learned to rope and hazed cattle for her bulldogging husband, took English jumping lessons, and did just about anything to learn more about horses and riding. Cindy now takes pleasure in trail riding her gelding Nemo or driving her antique buggy behind a matched team of Welsh Pony mares. Their three grown children, share their enthusiasm for animals and the outdoors and while growing up always had a safe pony or horse to ride. Right behind riding horses for Cindy is either painting them, sculpting them, or writing stories about them. Friends, family and horses have always been a special combination in the Seng household. "Holidays in particular have always given me many happy moments in life," Cindy notes. "But Christmas is truly my favorite! When the December snow flies, the horses are happy, too. They seem to know it is a special, wonderful season and a fresh start to a new year!"
