....."neal r rice receives his inspiration through his deep Texas roots.  Since 1842 the Rice's have called Texas home. He was born in Gonzales and raised outside of Houston.  His early years included hardships, rejection and delinquencies. He believes that if it was not for the Grace of God, these obstacles would have sent him spinning down the path of certain destruction.

.....At the age of nine his parents divorced (and remarried the following year) over the rarest of reasons, religion.  By the consent of parents, his teenage years were religion and church free.  His gods were the ones that centered on his own self, and Rebellion was their names.  At the age of twenty-one, on the tarmac of William P Hobby Airport he heard the scripture from the One that "stands at the door and knocks" saying, "chose this day who you will serve."  The best choice a person can ever make is to BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God and watch how a heart of stone becomes a heart of flesh.  That's the heart of this poetry man.

.....Although he is a graduate of the University of Houston, has a fantastic career with our civil aviation authorities, has been half way around the world, is joined with the most wonderful lady for over twenty-five years, and has two lovely daughters, nothing can compare to the knowledge of the Saving Grace of God through Jesus Christ, NOTHING."
