All I have Left

Beep, beep, beep!

            Jenny tossed over and looked up at the alarm clock then pushed snooze for the third time that morning. Ten minutes later the alarm clock rang again even more infuriating then the first, second, and third time. She tossed and turned as the beeping got louder and louder then finally gave in and turned it off. Jenny rested her head on the pillow as her eyes wondered the room. Her gaze fell upon her baby blue door, and then the pink wall with pictures of all her friends, her cheer squad, the football team, and parties. Next to that was a book shelf filled with scrapbooks, photo albums, yearbooks from schools, and a few unnamed big, brown envelopes.  There was a plasma television hung up to the wall, and a surround sound system next to a huge stereo. The bay glass door that lead out to a balcony was opened and the breeze lightly brushed against her face. Jenny was staring at her closet trying to decide what  to wear to school when her twin brother Sam ran into her room and jumped on the bed.

            “Don’t hurt me!” Jenny laughed.

            “Don’t worry I would hurt you I mean if I did who would I have to mess with if you end up in the hospital?” Sam laughed.

            “Well at lest I would be happy with out having you and Austin bug me about every little thing!” Jenny teased.

            “Well sorry sis but you’ll be putting up with us for a long time.” Sam said.

            “I hope not!” Jenny muttered under her breath.

            “I heard that.” Sam laughed.

            “I heard that!” Jenny  mocked him. “ So what is it?”

            “ Ok, well I cant find my uniform anywhere, Ohhh and Helen wants to make oatmeal.” Sam looked as if he was sick to his stomach.

            “God does she really think we like that stuff it repulsive. Just think about it makes  me sick.” Jenny squealed.

            “So does that mean that you going to make breakfast?” Sam asked.

             “Hum sure, but you have to do something for me?” Jenny answered.

            “Anything, as long as I get to see the age of sixteen!” Sam pleaded.

            “A week of dish washing, and you uniform is in your sports bag down stairs.!”

            “Yes, anything you say!” Sam said, and as he was about to get up Jenny pulled him back down.

            “Anything, ok plus a week of vacuuming?” Jenny smirked.

            “Man I really shouldn’t have said that. Fine, fine.” Sam gave in.

            “And…”Jenny started..

            “No please that’s it, come on don’t abuse me.”
