The story of the Dutch Resistance and the Allied Jedburg teams during Operation Market Garden is one that has been overlooked by nearly all of the popular histories on this audacious failure. The sacrifice of individual Dutch Resistance members to help the Allies liberate their homeland is detailed here in a story drawn from archival reports, memoirs and first person interviews.

About the Author

Stewart Bentley is a former Army paratrooper and military intelligence officer. His interest in Operation Market-Garden dates back to 1978 when he first visited the Market-Garden battlefield as a teenager. A 1984 graduate of the Citadel, this book is derived from his 1996 Master's thesis written at the Joint Military Intelligence College He is currently a private security contractor, and living in Lorton, Virginia with his wife and partner, Patricia.
