About the Author
D. Oliver has gathered his information for this book through a college education in Architectural and Construction Engineering plus over forty years of actual working "with the tools" so to speak . He started in his young teens as a construction laboror and worked his way up thru carpenter apprentice to journeyman then to superintendent and project manager for many residential and multi family H.U.D. projects. He decided to go out on his own in the mid 70's as a Home Remodeling Contractor and in the late 70's thru early to mid 80's built many single family custom homes for select clients. In the mid 90's he became weary of the hassles of self employment and started a new career as a high end designer of kitchen's and bath's, a field in which he is still employed. The overall vast experience he has gained thru these various construction positions allows him to extend his knowledge of this industry thru this book.
