Step out of

what you are

supposed to

do something different to

the boring circle

of what goes on all

the time and leave

the same things on the

same days of the

repetitive patterns of

what everyone expects

and turn the music to

the channel you are

afraid of playing because it is

not the music you live your life to

and the beat goes on

and every day is the same even though

they are different they are still the

same they are still the same they are

still the same and stretch the reality

of what you think you are supposed

to be and do the opposite of the

monotonous circle and make the

chaos a little more your own, the

comfortable places are a little

lumpier now aren't they?  this is not

who you are because you shape

you by what is expected not what really

is and maybe you don't know what

really is anymore so the map is upside

down but you're still driving like it's

right side up so the roads are backwards

but now it's okay because it's

different and isn't this what people

were saying all through the 60s so

it doesn't really seem so different

it's just that being different isn't really

different any more there's a corporate

idea of different so different is really

the same and the idea of individuality

is "hey I'm being individualistic too

why don't we be individuals together

or better yet form a group and be

individuals with forty other people"

does that really make sense apparently

it does these days so maybe different

is impossible now but I will try it

anyway and catch me with the net that

isn't there after I fall even though I want

to fall because it would be different.
