It was a sunny day for Aunt Nanci and Uncle Billy’s pool party. The sky was clear and the water was warm. “Welcome” said Aunt Nanci as 4 year old Clare arrived with her family. More family came later, but little Clare was the first to change into her swimsuit and try out the pool. Her excitement was hard to contain. All the water toys looked like fun and she couldn’t wait to try them out. Daddy Peter took Clare by the hand and they stepped into the warm, calm water. What a fun tune, “I wish I had a pool in my backyard”, said Clare. “Well”, Daddy Peter said, “maybe someday”. All the other company finally arrived. Everyone put on their swimsuits and jumped into the pool. Lots of splashing and happy laughter. No one could keep up with Clare. She climbed in and out of the pool.

About the Book
Have you ever had a different kind of pet? Most children have dogs, cats, rabbits, birds or even a hamster. Little Clare wanted to stay in the water much longer than everyone else and so she began to cry. What could Uncle Billy do to comfort her and help her to accept that play time in the water was over. Everyone else was ready to enjoy the family barbecue and Clare needed to get dressed and join the others. And so Uncle Billy found a way to let this little girl choose for herself the right thing to do. Read the story and find out what happened.
About the Author
The author is a widowed mother and grandmother who has drawn from her life experiences to share stories that would delight the hearts of all children. Her five children cherish memories of the bedtime stories which delighted them during their early years. She always used her creative imagination to teach some lesson or moral as she wove a tale with some familiar theme. Now the author’s grandchildren and children everywhere can enjoy a journey in story land and perhaps learn some of life’s most important lessons. After her marriage, the author exchanged a career in business for one of raising her five children. She and her husband settled in upstate
Her first book, My Only Son, published by AuthorHouse represents her attempt to launch a fourth career as a new author. Entering the field of children’s books will be a new and rewarding venture for this dedicated mother and grandmother.
