CLOSER TO GOD
Just watching the spinning cycle of life
forcing me to pay attention before
floating to another dimension,
not to mention, troubles are colored pressure
red, can’t seem to ignore what we might dread,
can’t seem to wipe out what’s already been
done and said. But we can make a difference
with god’s support and guidance.
Now forever, grateful for his providence, the lord open my eyes
to the spinning cycle of life, I felt so helpless before, now I hope, to
be a great asset to life, I know the lord created us to
endure, to learn responsibility to stay pure, never
before felt so safe and secure . I, tend to grab small
problems by the root, some people experience
neglect and abuse don’t let pain last to long.
Make time to connect with the lord, to help you sort out
or rearrange, I once felt like my purpose was
strange when I couldn’t determine the range. Now
I’m learning how to be closer with god.

FLESH
Mind drifts but swift just like a hidden ability a
true gift almost sacrificed again I can’t slip. Can I live
began set trends, sunshine on me again light
please glow again until the early light it will
rain to wash away dirt, temptation will flirt
the truth sometimes hurt yet to convert. Just
like a lusting sensation when dodging temptation.
Wouldn’t it be just like it to show up when only
your doing good only you should the innocent would,
to reach out and touch you if only I could just now
starting to express this is me in the flesh.

Born in Brooklyn raised in queens N.Y with her mother brother in sister. She attented laguardia community college but was inspired to write poetry through music, family and freinds. She now lives in Atlanta with her husband and son.
