About the Book

Writing was something that came easy because

I don’t follow the rules that most writers do,

I write what I feel AT THAT TIME.

My Words Written My Way is a book that

comes from some of life’s experiences.

at one time or another everyone has thought

of what it would be like to walk in Daddy’s shoes

or have been told that “You ain’t Grown”

or even heard a child of four have

a slightly different conversation.

Yet it is “To him who is” that we owe all of our blessings.

About the Author

Vatonia Rae Gray is my name, some people call me Toni, and some say Toni Rae. Mother of Alexander Gray III, and David Isaiah Gray. Married for 27 years to Alexander Gray Jr.

I started this book of words at age 40.Born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 28th,1961, to Maxine Williams and Leroy R. Thompkins. I am the eldest of five children.

A graduate of Jane Adams Vocational High School in Cleveland, Ohio;

A reciepient of Deans Honor Award at Remington College of Medical assisting:

 Director of the hit gospel play “Wake up Jerusalem;” Winner of the Editors Choice Award from the International Poetry Society; And a National Poetry Ambassador for the year 2006.

I am not a trained writer, nor am I a professional writer, what I am is a PASSIONATE writer.

Inspired by many people, places, and events. Some good, some not so good yet they all have encouraged me to write with a gift and talent that cometh from my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; therefore these are
