THE U.S.
A banner decorated with stripes & stars
The color of horizontal red & white bars
Hanging on a pole, in the wind it will fly
When a soldier’s life is over, on the casket it will lie
It symbolizes a country that is free
Giving it’s citizens life & liberty
She flies at many buildings, stadiums, and schools
The blood given for her reason could fill many pools
This piece of linen is called the U.S. Flag
Foreigners set it ablaze like some sort of dirty rag
They like to watch the red, white, & blue turn black
Terrorists and radical militants who are in
The stars & stripes has flown for over 200 years
After the national anthem plays, there will be cheers
Freedom, liberty, & strength are what she represents
The ones who hate it most are the Arabs in their tents
Old Glory’s birthday is on the 4th of July
Firecrackers & bombs explode in the night sky
Everywhere you look, you will see one every day
The symbols the flag stands for will never go away
For a free society she still stands
A country built by many working hands
For a country of democracy, this banner leads the way
It will fly on the erected pole forever and a day.
