About the Author

Dr. Peterka is a dermatologist from Galesburg, Illinois.  He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdepartmental Studies from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota with minors in philosophy, history, mathematics, physics, and abnormal psychology graduating Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa.  He earned his M.D. and M.S. degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis Minnesota.

Dr. Peterka is a Past District Governor of Rotary International and a Past Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus.

He married his wife Jean when a junior in medical school, and after 47 years of marriage, they have five children and seven grandchildren.
