As her mother starts running cool water through her hair, Marydora squiggles and squirms.
"Stop moving," Mommy says.
"Mommy, the water is too cold."
"How is that?" asks Mommy after changing the water temperature.
"Good," Marydora says as she wiggles her body seeking a comfortable position.
"Stop moving or the water will get into your eyes," Mommy warns. "I just put shampoo in your hair."
Marydora doesn't stop moving and water drips into her eyes.
"OWWWW, Mommy! The water is burning my eyes!" screams Marydora as she lifts her head up.
"Be still, and calm down sweetie," soothes Mommy. "Put your head back down so I can get the soap out of your eyes."

About the Book
Like most little girls, Marydora does not like getting her hair combed. It takes too long and sometimes it hurts. She would rather be playing with her toys. Mommy gets very frustrated trying to comb Marydora's hair. Marydora wiggles in her seat too much. Will Mommy ever finish washing and combing Marydora's hair?
About the Author
Nydia Nicholl lives in El Sobrante, CA with her family. This book was inspired by her own trials combing her daughter's hair. She graduated from California State University at Hayward with a Bachelor of Art Degree in Art. Nydia Nicholl also owns a photography business in Richmond, CA named Happines & Laughter Photography. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and Tai Chi.
