The Butterfly That Loved The Firefly

As I sit at the edge of my bed peering out of my bedroom window, I am witnessing the same beauty that I had witnessed thirteen years ago. Seemed like just yesterday, really. But I suppose something that beautiful would leave such an impression. An impression that would stay forever in my heart.

Fireflies, or lightning bugs as we once called them were flying around just outside my window. There must have been hundreds of them. Although I couldn’t exactly see the fireflies, I could certainly see their sparkling lights twinkling all over causing a small area of the sky to light up. It was moments like this that helped me to remember her face, her smile...
