About the Book

Abuse is a horrible issue that is not addressed often enough.  It's victims are made to feel ashamed, afraid and that it's their fault.  This book dares to go there in hopes of helping anyone in an abusive situation realize their own power and strength and to seek help before going from the status of victim to statistic.  This book describes one woman's  experience from the beginning to the transition that was supposed to be the end.

About the Author

Polly Lorraine was born in a small town in North Carolina in 1952.  Her life has been filled with challenges and unwarranted events but she has managed to face them by means of her faith and the determination and resilliance that she credits her mother for instilling in her.  She is the mother of two beautiful daughters and the grandmother of three gorgeous granddaughters.  She takes every opportunity to mentor and encourage any young  person that will listen to her.  She still lives in a small rural community and enjoys the simplicity of life there.
