THE BRIDGE
As I stand here on the bridge
Wind blowing through my hair
Looking out across the river
I think of life and things gone wrong
As I stand here on the bridge
And I wonder who’s to blame
Then I look at my reflection
Staring back up at me
The answers their so plain to see
The one to blame is only me
The lights reflect off the water
Oh look so pretty with that glow
How calm and soothing the water looks
As I stand here on the bridge
But it’s not inviting or friendly to me
It’s dark and dreary just like life
But strangely it seems to draw me in
As I stand here on the bridge
Very tempting so enticing
Why is it the things that hold so much appeal
Are so bad for you in life
Damn that song it keeps playing in my head
Can’t do nothing to shut it out
It pulls the strings of my heart
As I stand here on the bridge
But then they break one by one
Which is why on this dark and cold night
I am standing here on this bridge
Yet my pulse I can feel
Vibrating throughout my body
So tell me why I feel so dead
As I stand here on the bridge.

About the Book
I have been lucky enough to be able to read Linda's poems for quite some time now & my life has been made richer for it. They make me laugh, cry, happy, angry, sad, thoughtful, sometimes all at the same time! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do & treasure this book from this remarkable woman.

I first started reading Linda’s poems last year and immediately felt she should do something more with them.
I told her to try and publish them so other people could enjoy her work too.
Ever since she became more self assured about her work which resulted in more and more poems, eventually leading to this book
Linda’s poems are always touching, heartfelt and they strike a nerve every time.
You never know if they are autobiographical, but each reader can relate the poems to events in his or her life.
One of her lyrics has even been used by a Scottish rock band to transform into a song.
This book will capture you from the first poem till the last.

They are beautiful and I identify with the sentiment and words of every single poem there because they reflect my life experience, my wants, desires and fears and they will other people's too. People need to read words like that provide confirmation that they are not alone in feeling like that and that its something that we all go through in life.
I think to publish them or even to music to them would be excellent. Some musicians out there don’t write as well as you. I really think you could do very very well with them.

About the Author
I'm a single mum to three children, and live in the
I had some poems posted on websites, and one of my poems was made into a single and recorded by a Scottish group called the Honey Badgers, and donated to the NSAAA autism charity to help raise money for their five million pounds champaign based in Newcastle-upon-lyme.
I also write short adult erotic stories too, which i'm also aiming to get published in the future.
