About the Book
This book is compiled, written and dedicated to preserving the words
uttered from the combined thoughts, sayings and writings of various
family members throughout several generations of The Anderson
Family, The Averette Family, The Carter Family, The Daniels Family, The
Duncan Family, The Gill Family, The Henson Family, The LaGrone Family,
The Leach Family, The Oliver Family, The Peoples Family, The Reed Family and The Thornton Family.
The authors of this book wish to express their heartfelt hope and prayers
that this collection will help to continue to bless and uplift the
asperations of all the members of the families mentioned above, as well
as all who read these profound words.
The authors also hope that these musings will go on to inspire future
members of these families and others yet unborn and will challenge them
to continue the legacy that has been set forth by the people whose
thoughts and words are on the pages of this book.

About the Author:
After writing his first manuscript, "Four Years of Blood, A Concise History of the War for Southern Independence."
R. L. Averette completes his first short story in 1978 and it is published in the Greensboro Times Newpaper.
"March to Victory, Time March, Time Warp and Deeds" are other manuscripts that he continues to work on, but it will not be until much later in the years that Mr. Averette finally begins to see his work pay off.
In 2006, Mr. Averette's first book, "Echoes of Memory, the life and times of Inez Claralee LaGrone" is published by Author House Publishing Company of Bloomington, Indiana.
About the Co-Author:
Inez Henson's accomplishments include the writing of numerous gospel and country songs, many of which are published and recorded by studios such as Rainbow Records, Shambling Studios, and Hollywood Recording to name a few. She and her husband James continue to record and produce gospel and country music videos and audio tapes. She currently spends her time writing poems and short stories.
In 2006, a full length novel featuring Mrs. Henson’s life entitled “Echoes of Memory, the life and times of Inez Claralee LaGrone” was published by Author House Publishing Company of Bloomington, Indiana.
