Immortal Love
Devilish torment are you to me,
So dark, so mysterious,
Yet strikingly lovely.
Unable to resist,
Unwilling to desist,
From loving you my darling,
I give my soul to thee.
Truly am I yours for all eternity.
Your most gentle touch,
Imprisoning me,
Without reason or rhyme,
And I suggest,
For no crime,
Loving you my Dearest,
I am an eagle in flight,
Myself I think,
I did smite.
For without your love,
I am a clipped dove,
And now I pray,
To all the heavens above,
To let me hold you someday,
My soul aches now,
From the penance I did pay.

About the Author
Michael Q. Black is a native of the UK. As a young man, he spent a great deal of time studying the world and its nuances, travelling through Europe, the America's and the Far East. Absorbing everything from Buddhist philosophy to politics and theology, he integrated his knowledge into his writings.
