All the while Sarah kept looking through the curtains at Patches. Sarah noticed as small as Patches was, Patches was brave to explore a "bigger" world. Sarah decided to go outside to watch Patches. Sarah sat on the back porch. Patches walked towards her slowly. Patches even stretched out close enough for Sarah to pet her head.
Sarah carefully petted Patches on the head and told her, "Know one has ever like me becasue I am so small, and your'e so small -- maybe we can be friends." Sarah started to walk with Patches around the big backyard.
She walked with Patches to the large trashcans....Patches would just lean on them.

“Patches,” a miniature goat, helps Sarah find the value of being “little” is just as important as being “big”. As Sarah spends the day with Patches, she learns everything is either big or little, short or tall, has its place in the world. With Patches help, Sarah learns to be happy with herself.
About the Author
Cheryl S. Black has combined her love of animals and children to create her first publication as a children’s book series author. “When Patches Came Home” is the first in this series involving Patches and Sarah exploring and learning about life together through many adventures.
