Losing a loved one is never easy… some way it feels like a flower is missing from our garden. Maybe it was the yellow buttercups or purple lilies …but one day you look around and the flower is missing.
Enjoy each day and take time right now to let those you love know that they are special to you. Tomorrow is not promise to any one…so today may be the first day you can show them just how much you really care.
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
A Flower Is Missing
A flower is missing in our garden today; a flower that made us to stop and enjoy Life along the way
A flower that made us feel happy even if sad; a flower that could sing the songs of Zion
To make us feel so glad
A flower is missing forever in our heart to stay; a flower that showed us how to love one another and to fast and pray
A flower once bloomed bright is in Heaven above; a flower is missing but now gently embraces the Father’s love
A flower is missing and our garden is not the same; a flower that never stopped singing praises to His Holy name
A flower that shined its light to show us the way; a flower that is waiting there to meet us in glory one day

About the Author
EdnaLea is new to the game of publishing but not to writing her poetry.
At the age of 11, her first poem written was for a class book report on ‘War and Peace’. Edna still recalls how proud her teacher Ms. Lucas made her feel when she displayed her poem on the hall bulletin board for everyone to see. ‘It made me believe I could do something no one else could do’
