ABOUT THE BOOK The main purpose of "The Minister's Friend" is to aid the gospel pastor-preacher with duties or practices relating to his calling which by no means exempt laypersons from reading its contents. “The Minister’s Friend” will afford laypersons a practical understanding of preacher and pastor in general from a Christian and Baptist perspective. It is with great assurance laity will gain a greater understanding and appreciation for those men of the cloth who are "called out" from among the called out. “The Minister’s Friend” is a practical, rich resource of Baptist tradition in guiding the preacher-pastor in the Gospel Ministry. If the contents of this publication assists preacher and pastor in any way then its mission is truly accomplished for the purposes intended in the work of the Gospel Ministry. This publication is fourth in a series of Dr. Wylie’s other publications entitled: “Only One God: Who Is He,” “The Miracles of Christ,” “Know Your Enemy: The Devil,” and the publication you now hold in hand: “The Minister’s Friend.” Finally, the intention of this publication to aid and help prepare the minister in carrying out those duties, tasks or responsibilities in the work of ministry in which God has called the Gospel Preacher – Pastor which helps enable him to equip others as servants of God. “The Minister’s Friend” will certainly help any preacher - pastor make full proof of one’s ministry.
