If I didn't believe in controversy,
I would feel no need to write,
I can only hope that my assumptions will arouse other's insight.
Matters that might seem quite clear to me,
Are often those, I'm sure of which others will disagree.
If I could spur the emotions within another's soul,
Then I have accomplished what I intended, and reached my fondest goal.

About the Book
As a child I was stirred by the writings of poetic rhyme, however I did not start writing until my late 60's.
My poetry was strongly influenced by my rural Ozark childhood. Also by the lifestyle of the 40's and 50's,
and the richness of lifes's blessings thereafter.
