If we are negative and your communications skills are poor or unprofessional you will have a hard time reaching your goals, being successful, and earning respect.
The ability in working through associates starts with your positive attitude. We must always be confident in what we are trying to accomplish and communicate. We must strive in being firm, fair, and consistent by communicating always in a professional way. The ability in communicating your goals and objectives, will help in accomplishing each.
The best way in building your confidence is being prepared. This also will help in delivering your message in a positive way. A lot of supervisors and managers have many tasks to be completed. The ability in managing your time is very critical. Organizational skills in your work assignments are important in accomplishing each in a timely manner.
We must remember that associates want to do good job. The best communicators get the best results. Communications is a two way process. Remember to speak clearly and be specific in your instructions. The good manager must also be a good listener and hear what feedback that is created from your message.
Remember in being successful you must be confident, prepared, organized, and it doesn’t hurt to have a smile on your face.
