About the Book

Woman to Woman is a book filled with situations that Women who are single, married, mothers, in church, who are destructive and who consider themselves to be real can relate to. As women, we all share some commonalities when it comes to relationships with men, our children, our families, our friends, our co-workers etc.  There are times when we are faced with a challenging situation or set of circumstances in which we just don't know what to do or quite frankly how to handle.  We sometimes go through situations that we are just to embarrassed to talk to anyone about.  This book offers an uplifting alternative and possible suggestions on how to handle certain situations.  Women from all walks of life will be able to identify with several of the situations presented within the various chapters of Woman to Woman.

About the Author

Tawnya Rachelle is a real heroic who has faced some of lifes most challenging obstacles, with few resources at her disposal and yet she has continued to climb the mountain, a personal and family achievement.  I would call this success in any language a beacon of light for those who are facing similar challenges today.

Tawnya Rachelle is a mother of five, has been a struggling single mother, has been unemployed or underemployed, has experienced homelessness, has been on welfare and has received food stamps.  Over the years, she has overcome many obstacles and through her journey has discovered that she has many God given talents.  First and foremost, she learned that she is a strong black woman.     She creates opportunity where it seems there is none.  Her talents include cooking, singing, writing song lyrics, poems and books.  She develops programs for inner city youth, helps women increase their self-esteem and understand their worth through motivational speaking. She teaches life skills, computer skills, employment and parenting skills.  She is a natural lover of people.

Tawnya Rachelle obtained her Associates Degree in Business Management with a concentration in Human Resources Management from Marion College in August of 2008 and will obtain her Bachelors Degree in Business Management with concentrations in Marketing, Human Resources Management and Business Management from Marian University in December 2009.  She was the recipient of the Women of Strength Award as a part of Women Making a Difference in Our Community which was presented by Oasis of Hope Baptist Church in 2004.  She was also featured in the Indianapolis Star 2001 & 2005 and the Indianapolis Recorder 2002 & 2004, featured on National Public Radio (NPR) 2006 and on the National Association of Black Journalist Convention Webpage 2006.
