About the Book

"Sunbeams and Broken Dreams" draws its sensitivity and observations on life, from the author's love of nature, animals and the human experience.
    She has a keen eye for the unique events in everday life that imprint so deeply upon us.  It is this special perception that makes her poetry so very accessible and meaningful.  She writes from the heart and touches our souls.

About the Author

     Mitzi Rinehart is a writer, pilot, artist, librarian, world traveler and teacher.  She started writing short stories and poetry in the fifth grade and has continued to do so all of her life.  She has a BA and a MS degree from California State University at Fullerton; as well as a MLS degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
    She currently resides with her husband and two dogs in Gold Canyon, Arizona, near the base of the Superstition Mountains where coyotes, javelinas, bobcats and a variety of birds and other creatures use her yard as their personal preserve.
    She spends her time traveling, writing, painting and volunteering for the Arizona State Parks where she is also a certified interpretive guide.
