Put yourself in my shoes for a moment. You’re a kid, and from your earliest memory you were in pain. Picture yourself nonetheless having a dream, something you want to accomplish so bad that you can taste it, something you can see clearly in every detail. But with all those health issues, you feel helpless to reach it because you’re unaware of the opportunities that exist around you. All you know is pain, and the ridicule of others. Your physical body is constantly going through healing and rigorous reconstruction, every time you feel like you’ve made it over one mountain there comes another. Your thoughts and beliefs are damaged from years of neglect and abuse. Trying to discover and comprehend basic education skills feels like facing a jigsaw puzzle with billions of pieces. Your community and neighborhood offer little help, there’s nothing to look forward to, and it seems like everyone around you has their own hidden agendas. Every where you look you see attitudes and personalities filled with selfish motives and insensitivity. Few have the compassion to see one person succeed. Yet deep inside your soul lives a yearning to stay at peace and remain calm. Because you know something big is getting ready to happen.

John’s real job is raising his son Jayzon and supporting his lovely wife Tomico. With his unique humor combined with his real life stories of his young life coming from a very dysfunctional family and having to overcome many obstacles can leave you crying one minute and laughing the next.
