About the Book

When a small town girl, Jamie Lane, won a prize to travel part of the world she was wild with joy. It was her every dream come true. She was engaged to Roy, but wanted to go alone, though the the trip included another person. Roy wanted it to serve as their honeymoon. She wanted this last chance of freedom. She went alone. Roy was hurt by her decision. She agreed to marry him upon her return. Through phone calls she was left with doubt of his faithfulness in her absence. She traveled into intrigue, into danger and into the arms of anohter man, a man with a deadly profession, living a lifestyle that would be unbearable for her. Danger stalked her across several countries, but she wouldn't give her dream and return home.

Janis has written novels, published poems and some articles on battered women. She’s been on a TV series on battered women and on the radio. She’s presently writing another novel starting the biography of a Utah mountain man, called “The Life and Adventures of Cactus Jack”. And another biography of an incredible country woman from Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, who lived on the dangerous streets of south Los Angeles while searching for her son who had become homeless in L.A. Her story and that of her son is the heart-wrenching story of a mothers love. The story is called “No Limits to Love.” Janis lives in Tyler, Texas, with her three cats and pittbull dog “Benjamin”
