                                Reggie the Teddy

Reggie the teddy came into our life on a bitterly cold winters day,

 He was sitting beside a dustbin where someone had thrown him away.

The sad look on that poor teddies face, as if he knew he`s not wanted no more.

 we found  that we could not resist him as we lifted him up from the floor.

Now Reggie the teddy has changed, and that sadness has gone from his face,

he`s found a new home where he`s wanted, and has his own chair in the place

Although all the children have grown up , and no longer play with their toys,

I think Reggie the teddy has a soft spot especially with one of the boys

So as we look after this old battered teddy, with his fur in places quite thin,

 he knows he is welcome in our house, from the day that we  first brought him in
