About the Author

Born to the proud parents of Selvin and Sonia McRae, Selvin Junior McRae has inherited the zeal of striving for success and hard work and has proven so with his artistic skill of poetry writing, to give you ‘The Occupied Mind’. He is a very indebt person that finds inner peace through his writing and one who constantly emphasizes on the importance of God and his love.

A very spiritual person he is and also one that stands for high morals, allowing him to become a designated people’s person.  With a vision to strife for better and one of responsibilities and intelligence, he has vowed to have his poems making a difference.  His motive is not to seek fame or fortune from his poetry writing but an aim he holds for his words to be told.  With lots of pride and strong determination, he vows to stay on his path to success.

Not being promised tomorrow, Selvin’s motto is living a life of love today.  He vows never to become a hypocrite and will always speak the truth, giving a helping hand whenever help is needed. He is a firm believer in his life being a light, so he tries to abide by the laws of God. 

He has pledged to write for you all, the things he sees, hears and feels, along with his experiences, without knowingly misleading anyone.  He has attest that his poems are a reflection of him and you should be careful of your conclusions, as he does write for some that are vision less too.  A diamond in the rubble or a pearl glowing in the sun, will be your final thought of the author, after you have completed “the Occupied Mind”.
