About the Author
Michael Wood has been involved with recording and touring for most of his adult life. At the young age of only 31, he has performed for thousands upon thousands performing with Kansas, Buckcherry, Vince Neil (Motley Crue), Everclear and many more. Michael has performed for the Chicago White Sox, The Cincinnati Reds, The Memphis Redbirds, the IRL and the NHL. He is currently a member of the recording academy and is voting on the 2008, 50th anniversary Grammy Awards.
Michael is currently signed to Top Sail Productions/Warner, Elektra, Atlantic and was discovered by Casey Kasem. His major label, debut record was recorded by Dale Penner (Nickelback) and has had tracks featured in MTV's Road Rules and Real World: Denver.
Michael is currently a college professor teaching "Introduction To The Music Business" and other music related courses at one of the largest schools in Canada. On top of being a professional musician, Michael has operated City Lights Entertainment, a full service music company that works as a musician/producer management company, a booking agency, a musician consulting company and more.
