About the Book

The story opens with Cassandra (cassie) hurrying in to open her shop for the day.

Keith shows a measure of interest as he is having coffee and looking at the shop

acoss the way.  He picks out a pin and matching earrings for his nurses bithday

and indicates he will be waiting for Cassie when the shop closes so they might go

to dinner.  Kevin feels determined to have her while he is a man who does not

believe in love and marriage... he beleives in one woman at a time.  They seem

to form a bond but after several months, he indicates, I think we should see and

date other people. Cassie feels heartbroken and disappears.  He resolves to try to make up to her all the hurt he caused.  He enlists a private investigator.  An auto accident lands Cassie in the hospital, Keith is shocked to find she apparently has lost her memory and as she inches towards recovery he makes up his mind to tell her they are engaged to be married.  Certain information emerges giving Cassie mixed feelings about what had transpired over the past few months and seeing Keith somewhat differently.  A bout of illness complicate things while giving up the shop to her friend Sandy.  She feels like part

of her life is coming to a close.  In the concluding chapters of My Cassandra by Nora

Griswold Sandy shows a degree of concern for Doug who put Punoro in jail in

exchange for his masion in Beverly Hills.  Meanwhile Cassie’s lungs start giving

out.  Keith senses the end is near.  They head for New York where Dr.Guberman

uses all his techniques on Cassie but determines her time is very limited.  It is best to take her home where she can be comforatble in her last days. With elements of suspence and romance the work is designed to capture the imagination as well as to provoke thought.
