Thoughtful Poems from the Heart

About the Book

The poems in this book were written from the nineteen seventies through two thousand and seven.  Some were inspired by the author’s experiences while others were written from the author’s imagination.  The author has tried to capture many areas of life that affect each and every one of us at some time in our lives.  Some of the poems are about life in general while others are about love and romance, the beauty and wonder of nature, growing old and loved ones who have died. 

Each poem has a special place in the author’s heart.

About the Author

Patricia Leacock-Ballish was born in Barbados, but has spent most of her adult life in Scotland, New York, and the Washington metropolitan area.

She is a registered nurse and continues to work in healthcare. Along with her RN degree, she has degrees in health care administration and paralegal studies.

She started writing poetry in the 1970s and is very excited to publish her first book of poetry, which she hopes her readers will enjoy.

Patricia is married and lives with her husband in Prince Georges County, Maryland.
