About the Book

In an easy, no-frills style Jeannie Montgomery relates true episodes in the daily lives of friends and loved ones in Central Louisiana as well as those in Japan and Brazil to whom she and her husband ministered for forty-seven years.  These stories may make you laugh, or make you cry, but all of them show that God’s grace reaches out to all kinds of people the world over.  

About the Author

Eugenia Montgomery, native of rural Central Louisiana, entered active foreign mission work when she married her missionary husband.  They have been married fifty-four years, forty-seven of which were spent in Japan and Brazil.

            At her table foreign languages and foods are as common as the English language and potatoes. She has faced difficult situations from which only God could have delivered. Her goal in life is to honor Him.

            As the mother of six children, grandmother of fifteen, and counselor to an untold number of troubled people, she knows that life is stranger than fiction and that all human beings are basically the same around the world, even here in Central Louisiana.
