About the Book

As I commit this book to press

I pray the Lord will truly bless

The people who will read this work

In whatever station they are on earth

May they not forget to in the Lord confide

Knowing He will always by by their side

As reading through the pages of this book

At themselves they’ll truly take a look

Perhaps in some line or verse

May be renewed-may find new birth

Most readers I will never know

My prayers are with you-God loves you so

About the Author

I was born at home on 4-7-1936. We lived in the country, never living in the city. I grew up in such an environment that gave me a super sense of the importance of God. When one considers the universe God placed the world in, it is beyond comprehension. Poetry has been a part of my life since I can remember. My mother taught me to recite “Twas the Night before Christmas” before I could read. I have written poems on special occasions for my wife, family and for my friends. In the first part of 1980 I was inspired to write a spiritual/inspirational poem and I have continued to write them. On January 5, 2008 I married again after being alone for two and a half years. At age seventy-one maybe this poem I wrote and recited at our wedding will say enough about me.

My thoughts at our wedding:

I thank you God for so much

I have truly felt the Savior’s touch

You gave me a soul-mate for fifty years

She is now with you, I have no tears

You now have blessed me with another one

I thank you Lord, say “your will be done”

I say to Agnes-before this crowd

To have you for a wife, I am so proud

You are my second soul-mate, I am sure

I promise to Love, Honor and adore

From this moment thru eternity

Pledge un-dying love for thee

The blessing is so plain to see

Jehovah God gave you to me

Through whatever life has in store for us

Our love for each other will be a plus

You are so pure and beautiful in my sight

My heart and soul take wingless flight

To things beyond what man has in store

You make me full, I want no more

I’ll take care of you as long as God gives me breath

And my life on earth shall end in death
