“I know you’re in here!” I yelled. I ran upstairs into the room where I saw my mystery girl from the ground below. The door was shut. Quietly, I opened it.
There she sat, my mystery girl. This time, she didn’t leave. I saw her long, beautiful hair. Her skin was as white as snow. Her eyes were light brown, and I immediately felt something inside me ignite.
She looked up at me with her beautiful eyes and gasped. I stood in the doorway.
“Hi,” I whispered hoarsely. She didn’t say anything. She just kept staring at me. Neither of us did anything. We just stared.
“Don’t you have a name?” I asked. She just nodded, still keeping quiet. I took a step forward. She winced a little, but didn’t leave.
“Aren’t you going to tell me?” I asked. She shook her head, and her hair swayed.
“Why not?” I took another step closer. She didn’t answer, but just kept staring up at me. I peered down at her. I was two inches in front of her at this point.
“I’m—”
“Joseph Aaron White,” her voice was soft when she spoke my name.
“How’d you know?” I asked. She looked down and didn’t say anything.
“Mariana.” She whispered.
“What?” I kneeled down to her.
“You asked me my name. I’m Mariana.” I smiled with content as she looked up. I got a good look at her face and her name.
“You can’t tell anybody about me, okay?” She seemed frantic.
“Why not?” I asked.
“You’re not supposed to know I’m here.”
“What’s wrong?” I was puzzled.
“I can’t tell you. Just go and don’t say anything about me.”

About the Book
My Mariana is a romance novel about a teen-age boy named Joseph who undergoes many dramatic changes as he grows up. After facing many near-death experiences, but being miraculously saved, Joseph wonders why his life is being spared. He finds the person responsible for saving his life so many times, and soon realizes something's wrong when nobody else can see her, and she somehow manages to disappear with no explanation.
Joseph learns why the girl has been rescuing him, and that God's plan for his life is much bigger than he thinks he can handle. Not only that, but he planned on going in a much different direction. After nearly everything in Joseph's life begins to fall apart, he decides that he has no other choice than to do what God wants for him.
My Mariana is a touching story of finding out your true purpose in life and fighting all obstacles to get there. As Joseph grows up, he finds out who his true friends are, and what God wants for him. Hopefully readers will figure this out as well as they follow Joseph on his journey to adulthood.
About the Author
Molly Brady is a teen-age author who loves writing, and is inspired by God and the influence He has put in her life. Molly's work is meant to place a positive influence on the lives of her readers. Molly's first book, My Mariana, was written when she was 13 and is her first work to be published. Molly's writings focus on helping the reader realize that God has a plan for everybody, and we need to look past the often difficult situtations happening today so we can see how those difficulties will help strengthen us for what our true future holds.
Molly is an active member in her church, participating in youth activities and helps with Sunday School instructions for the younger kids. She attends a Christian school where she plays volleyball, sings in the choir, and tuitors younger students. As she pursues here academic studies, Molly is also working on 2 other novels for her readers. These two books are expected to be finished within the next year. She hopes to publish her next book very soon after that.
She plans on going to college to earn a degree in Journalism and hopes to continue creating novels that will help motivate the reader to find their path to joy and happiness. Molly's joy is in writting and hopes to be influence to others to write their works.
