About the Author
Dr. Mary E. Davis is a well known educator, teacher, and administrator. Her research of this book is dedicated to God, her husband of 42 years, Earnest Davis; two daughters; Patonna and Amanda, a brother; Larry, and four enthusiastic and caring colleagues; Gloria, Jackie, Janet, and Susan.
Dr. Davis taught in Chicago's inner city and suburban public schools for twenty years. She worked as a school principal for 7 years. She obtained 4 degrees in education from several different universities in Illinois. She completed her doctorate degree in Education Administration and Leadership from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Davis gives her sincere thanks to her family members and colleagues for their tremendous enthusiasm and support while she complete this manuscript. She writes this manuscript in hope of improving the reading achievement of school children in every state. By applying the appropriate reading strategies this will improve instruction and effectiveness of reading scores.
