My mommy really loves me. I know this is so, or she wouldn’t make me macaroni or tickle my toes. And just last week, which wasn’t long ago, we cuddled in the chair and ate raw cookie dough. Of course I love my mommy, but oh… don’t you know… that lady really… loves the word NO! No hoopin. No hollerin. No on the floor wollerin! No wall writin. No hittin. No mean ole’ spittin! No shovin. No pushin. No kitty cat ambushin! No whinin. No poutin. And simply no act outin! That’s just what she says. Mommy loves the word NO! Pointing her finger and tapping her toe. “NO, NO, little Faith! No means NO!”

About the Author
Angel J. Coates graduated from the Known as the “Bookmobile Lady” for four years while working for the Lee County Library System in The idea of Mommy Loves “NO”! came to Angel after a particularly difficult day dealing with her two year old daughter. The story developed in her mind, and she eventually had to get it on paper. Her intention was to create a story that children and adults could both relate to and enjoy. Angel also had youth librarians in mind. Mommy Loves “NO”! is a book that begs to be read aloud at storytime! And, there’s more of little Faith and her cat Lucy to come!
